Description: This session explores ways to grow research cultures that not only strive to connect different kinds of knowledge with real-world outcomes but also place equity and justice at their core. Drawing on diverse experiences from science-policy-practice collaborations, the speakers will talk about practical strategies, processes, and tools to help researchers align their work with the needs of partners. They will also emphasize how equity and justice can be woven into the design and practice of transdisciplinary research. The speakers will share examples where progress is being made in shifting institutional cultures and discuss how we can potentially accelerate the process of individual and institutional transformation.
