(i2)Insights on Integration Frameworks

Description: Join our guests Stephen Crowley and Christian Pohl as they discuss frameworks for knowledge integration, drawing on insights from their i2Insights blog contributions and related work. Knowledge integration is at the heart of tackling complex, real-world problems, but for many researchers, it remains frustratingly hard to pin down, plan for, or evaluate. Frameworks can help researchers and practitioners find more clarity on features to consider in effectively combining knowledge within teams. In this webinar, Crowley and Pohl discuss what it actually means to integrate knowledge and how we might better facilitate that integration.

Following short presentations from each speaker, the session will move into a dialogue that invites exploration of integration frameworks and structures. The conversation will then open to attendees, encouraging a collective examination of current challenges, promising directions, and possibilities for advancing these frameworks.

This webinar is the next installment in our 2025-2026 series celebrating the 10th anniversary of the i2Insights blog and repository. Each session highlights enduring “gold nuggets” from the blog’s archives – ideas and practices that continue to influence how we collaborate to address today’s complex challenges.
