Description: How can we make better collective choices and lead effectively when the systems we work in are complex, unpredictable, and constantly changing? Drawing from their i2Insights blog posts on the science of complexity and systems thinking in public policy and leadership (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), Jean Boulton and Catherine Hobbs will share their insights on how systems and complexity methods can support better decision-making, help teams make sense of uncertainty, and provide guideposts for action in dynamic environments.
They’ll then engage in an open, curiosity-driven dialogue that invites both speakers and attendees to explore how these ways of working – embracing emergence, clarifying choices, and creating space to think differently – can strengthen how we respond to societal and environmental challenges.
This webinar is the third installment in our 2025-2026 series celebrating the 10th anniversary of the i2Insights blog and repository. Each session highlights enduring “gold nuggets” from the blog’s archives – ideas and practices that continue to influence how we collaborate to address today’s complex challenges.
