(i2)Insights on Leadership Practices for Collaborative Teams

Description: Join leading systems thinking expert Gerald Midgley and complexity leadership expert Gemma Jiang for a webinar discussing the evolving architecture of modern leadership in complex collaborative spaces. Drawing on their many contributions to i2Insights on topics including successful leadership, managing organizational boundaries, intra-team dynamics, and intentional leadership development, they will explore how personal self-awareness and deliberate practice inform the ability to manage diverse leadership styles and cultivate self-sufficient, successful teams.

They’ll then engage in an open, curiosity-driven dialogue that invites both speakers and attendees to explore leadership not as a static, individual position of authority, but as a fluid, boundary-spanning function focused on enabling shared ownership and leveraging holistic systems knowledge to maximize collaborative impact.

This webinar is the fourth installment in our 2025-2026 series celebrating the 10th anniversary of the i2Insights blog and repository. Each session highlights enduring “gold nuggets” from the blog’s archives – ideas and practices that continue to influence how we collaborate to address today’s complex challenges.

  • Gemma Jiang - Colorado State University, USA
