May 13th, 2025: Measuring What Matters in Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Developing and Testing the Perspective Integration Capability (PIC) Scale

Click HERE to view the seventh installment of our 2024-2025 series, “Intentional Integration: How do we know if it’s working?” in which Maritza Salazer Campo, Assistant Professor of Organization and Management at the Paul Merage School of Business at University of California-Irvine, introduces the Perspective Integration Capability (PIC) scale: a conceptually grounded, empirically validated instrument that measures an individual's willingness and ability to integrate knowledge with others in collaborative work. Dr. Salazar Campo provides an overview of the research involved in the development, validation, and testing of the PCI scale and discusses its utility in assessing individual integration capacity and enabling new insights and opportunities for improving team dynamics and convergent science collaborations.
