This webinar brought together interdisciplinary scholarship leader Bianca Vienni-Baptista (ETH Zürich) and team science and philosophy of interdisciplinarity expert Michael O’Rourke (Michigan State University) for a generative conversation on the professionalization of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary careers. Drawing on themes from their i2Insights contributions—ranging from institutional transformation and frameworks for strengthening ID/TD cultures to evolving expectations of research funders and team science competency development—the session created space to reflect on what it takes to build robust, recognized, and well-supported pathways for integrative researchers and practitioners.
