This webinar featured guest speakers L. Michelle Bennett (LM Bennett Consulting) and Dr. Stephen Fiore (University of Central Florida), as they drew from their many blog posts to share their insights on building competency for successful collaborations. Michelle drew on her practitioner experience to explore collaborative mindset, collaboration agreements, psychological safety, and the challenge of moving teams from knowing what effective collaboration looks like to doing it under pressure. Steve offered a cognitive science lens, addressing the ABCs of interdisciplinarity and the distinction between teamwork and task work. The session closed with a rich dialogue on teaching collaboration skills earlier and more intentionally.
